I was driving in the mountains the other day. Here in the midst of gorgeous mountain cabins was a new home. It looked extremely odd and out of place. The problem was that the house was Victorian style.

I love Victorian homes and dream of owning one some day, but this was not Leadville, Cripple Creek, Salida or any of the other mining towns that have great historical homes. This home was located among cabin type homes. The color choices did not blend with the surroundings.
